Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 20 June 2025  ·  Effective Date: 20 June 2025  ·  Loceng Kencana, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following words have the meanings set out below:

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a watch to Loceng Kencana for assessment or service, or by using our website to make an enquiry, you confirm that you are aged 18 or above and have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement. You also confirm that you are the lawful owner of the watch submitted, or have the authority to submit it on behalf of the owner.

3. Service Description

The Workshop offers three primary services, each described in detail on our website at locengkeed.world:

The Workshop reserves the right to decline to carry out a service if, upon assessment, it determines that the work is beyond its scope, that the watch is damaged in a way that makes servicing inadvisable, or that completing the service would risk further damage to the piece.

4. Assessment and Consent

Before any repair work begins, the Workshop will examine the watch and share its findings with you. No work will proceed without your knowledge and approval. If the assessment reveals additional needs or concerns beyond the initially requested service, the Workshop will inform you before proceeding. You retain the right to decline any additional work without penalty.

5. Pricing and Payment

Prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of all standard service components as described. Where additional parts or work are required beyond the standard service, these will be discussed and separately agreed with you before being carried out. Payment is due upon collection of the watch. The Workshop accepts cash payment at the counter.

6. Turnaround Time

Estimated turnaround times will be provided at the point of assessment. Typical service times range from seven to fourteen working days, depending on the complexity of the work. These are estimates and not binding commitments. The Workshop will inform you if a service is expected to take significantly longer than the initial estimate.

7. Original Parts and Components

The Workshop operates on a policy of retaining original watch parts wherever they remain serviceable. Replacement of parts will only be suggested when necessary and will be discussed with you before any replacement is made. The Workshop does not carry out wholesale part replacements as a matter of course.

8. Collection and Storage

Once work is complete, the Workshop will contact you to arrange collection. Watches not collected within thirty (30) days of notification may be subject to a reasonable storage charge. After ninety (90) days without contact from the Client, the Workshop may exercise its rights under applicable law regarding abandoned property. We will make all reasonable attempts to reach you before taking any such steps.

9. Liability

The Workshop takes reasonable care of all watches submitted to it. In the unlikely event that damage occurs as a direct result of a service error by the Workshop, we will work with you to find a fair resolution. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service paid and, where applicable, a contribution towards the reasonable cost of remediation.

The Workshop is not liable for pre-existing faults discovered during assessment, for damage caused by the age or condition of the watch itself, or for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Loceng Kencana website — including text, images, and design — is the property of the Workshop or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use it for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

11. Disclaimer

While the Workshop applies skill and care to every service, no repair workshop can warrant specific outcomes for mechanical timepieces, particularly older or heavily worn movements. We do not make absolute claims about timekeeping accuracy or the future performance of any serviced watch.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, the Workshop and the Client agree to first attempt to resolve the matter directly and in good faith. If a resolution cannot be reached informally, the matter may be referred to the appropriate courts in Perak, Malaysia, or to an agreed mediation service.

13. Changes to These Terms

The Workshop may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available at locengkeed.world/terms-conditions.html. Continued use of our website or services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
